Blog upgrades

1) Registered members can now add pictures to comments.

2) Post author gets an email message when a comment to the post is added. If the comments are being put to the moderation queue, the message goes out only after the comment is checked and approved by the site owner.

3) Site owner gets an email message when a new comment is waiting for moderation.

4) Blog administration page ("Posts and Comments") now displays the post in a blog-like format instead of a plain table. Under each post, 5 newest comments are displayed expandable with "+" sign. These newest comments can be edited or approved/denied right from this form. Comments which are waiting for moderation or are marked as spam, are highlighted with icons. A link to view the entire post text and all its comments is provided. When viewing the entire post the same editing and moderation features are available. "Moderate Comments" form remains which displays all comments in a plain list. It is supposed to be used for spam filtering.

5) Post Lists can be set up to be arranged from newest to oldest and vice versa. On the admin site, the order on the "Posts and Comments" form can be changed too.

That is really great!  I love the Facelift, too!  I am wondering if the emails can themselves be "branded" with a logo?  I haven't fooled around with it yet, just wondering. Taryn

Hi Taryn.  Do you mean a "forced" signature or something like that?

Where no matter what the emails form any user have a branding?  Or do you want a per-user branding.

It's pretty easy to do with most email programs so we didn't really consider providing it.

Please let me know more.  Also you can post ideas in our new forum at http://www.websiteforge.com/forum/

I just meant when the registered members are notified (emailed) that a new post is posted to the site that I could "brand" the email notification with an image so they'd see a visual for example a leaf that it is from us....just a thought Best,,,I LOVE my SITE!!!!!!!

Hi Taryn.  Actually you can.  Any of our modules have the ability to modify headers with images or any kind of text.

I'd contact live support and tell them what module you want to customize.

The membership mailer has a header/footer option.  The BLOG has template pages that you can edit.
