Subject: Network Slowness and Packet Loss

Yesterday at approximately 5:55pm EST, we experienced a DDOS attack directed to IP addresses located within our network. Such event has resulted in partial network slowness and packet loss to a few customers.  Our data center network engineers were able to quickly identify the destination addresses that were target of the DDOS attack and applied corrective measurements.  Once such measurements were put into place, the network condition immediate improved.

We are working with our firewall equipment vendor for analyzing the
attack and devise mechanisms to better withstand this type of attack in
the future.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thank you for the explanation of what happened.  It is comforting to know that everyone at Website Forge has our backs.  Other companies might have just made up excuses and their customers would never have known what really happened.  Being forthright builds a bond of trust and I for one, appreciate the fact that the folks at Website Forge diagnosed the problem and have taken the necessary measures to combat this type of cyber-terrorism.
