👣Steps to increase conversions 💸 on your e-commerce website

The number one question I get asked is "what can I do on my website to increase sales".  I usually evaluate the site and check for many different factors.  But the most common factors are that people have traffic they are just not tapping into!

 

There are 2 pieces to really improve sales from existing traffic.

 

1. Capture your audience.  

2. Communicate with the people that are ALREADY on your site!  This means:

 

a. Get people to sign up!

Whether you offer a free guide to something amazing that is relevant to your site, or a subscription to your blog...whatever it may be.  There are many many ways to get people to sign up on your site.  Find the way that works best for your ideal target clientele.

 

b. Setup an abandoned cart notice!

For e-commerce, one of the best ways to increase sales is to reach out to those that have already been pondering a purchase on your site.  The abandoned cart notice does just that.

 

c. Send offers!  

Whether it's an offer to subscribe to your awesome blog or some sort of promotion on your website...OFFER IT!!!  They won't think about you unless you intentionally become a thought in your audiences minds. You don't have to have an e-commerce site to take advantage of the traffic that is already on your site!  If you don't have a blog, you should really consider starting one.  There is a really good article here about how to decide what you should blog about.
