Real time inventory updates - Would it benefit you?

Hi Website Forge customers!

I have had the chance implement "scheduled inventory downloads" recently.

What is a "scheduled inventory download"?  Well many of you buy your parts from a wholesaler or manufacturer.  If your wholesaler changes prices, adds, or removes products from that database you would need to find out what those items are and make changes to your Website Forge catalog.

We can write special code that speaks directly to your wholesaler or manufacturer on a daily basis to automate things like price changes, additions or deletions.  Every day your product database can be automatically updated saving your hours of time.

This process is not a fit for everyone -- however the people that are a good fit can save hundreds of hours per year of database maintenance (if they do it at all).

If you have questions about an inventory update or any other automated process that may save you time and money, please post your comments and questions.

Thanks,

Shane Merem

I highly recommend this feature to any one interested.  This has saved me numerous hours of pricing adjustments and inventory updates.  Website Forge has done a tremendous job of implementing this into my website for one of my suppliers.  We are currently working on another supplier to add and they have been extremely flexible and patient with my every changing requests.  Thanks in particular to Shane, Jeri, and the programmer(s) who have had to put up with me.  The whole gang at Website Forge continually amazes me at  their dedication to customer service and their first class product.    What seperates Website Forge from their competition is they listen to the needs of their customers and offer cost effective solutions.

Many aspects of the process can be customized per your needs. For example, a scheduled inventory feed made for one of our customers adds all the new products as inactive and sends an email notification to the customer asking to review the items, modify their details, and activate them thereafter.

Dear Friends alike,

Can anyone point me in the direct of a good manual, to implement such real time inventory into several websites of my own, using one that is controlled as the main website, whereby all others then be integrated by real times updates from the main website. I think this is a excellant idea, but where can information to be able to organise such operations be found.

Please advice me.

Thankyou sincerely, Tammy.

Tammy, there is no real manual because each web site and data layout may be different.  You can contact our company www.websiteforge.com and we can see if we can help with your specific situation.
