Opt-out option for your e-mail marketing
February 12th, 2007 at 10:56 am   starstarstarstarstar

Recently more and more customers have asked for an opt-out option for their Membership Module's e-mail system.

The reason we had not done this in the past is because we don't allow and still do not allow spamming.  You may email any customer or subscriber you have -- they are a customer and should expect communications from you.  Therefore an "opt out" feature really did not apply (in our opinion).

We do, however, undertand the urge to follow good email practices -- which  many of you interpret as providing an opt-out link.

So, due to many customer requests...  We have added an opt-out option to the bottom of emails sent using your mailer.  Please test it out and let us know what you think.

This is a much needed tool for our e-mail accounts. Thank you Shane for getting this done. Now I do not need to worry about those black helicopters from California landing in my yard and taking me to jail for being a spammer. :)
