Please give us your new feature ideas!

This post is created to let everyone post new feature ideas and discuss them.  I'm sure we can't do all them instantly.  However we can learn and depending on how many people ask for the same feature we can prioritize them.

A way to customize the feedback forms so you could specify a radio button that a customer selects and it automatically sends the form to a specific email address (different email address for different button).

That's a great idea Justin. We have devloped hundreds of sites with that -- however a WF customer has never asked for it. I will put it on the list.

When a new customer registers as a customer with my site I would love the system to be set to send them an automatic e-mail. I could for example set it to explain how to re log back into the site to check their orders and check VCU's ect. I would love to be able to set it to were I could give them a coupon for the next order they place on my site a sort of thank you for registering with me. This could be a very nice feature.

I would like to have a order history of a customer be shown to me if they have ordered from my site before. I would also like to be able to see customers wish list's and also see the vcu's assocaited with their order history.

Hi Brian. We are breaking ground on a huge effort to create a CRM (Customer Resource Management) system for WF. This means that a customer, their full order, sales, support, and communication history will be at your fingertips. VCU's and wish lists will also be part of the data eventually.

I suspect this will be a 12+ month upgrade for WF. It will be well worth it.

I'll create a blog post soon for people's input on the CRM. Thanks Brian.

I would like an opt in for or mailing list. It would work like this. A customer places an order and they have a little box to were they could just check to opt in to our mailing list. This will provide proof for me that they did opt in to my mailng list. If they chose not to then they would not be put into my mailing list. The order is then shipped and the world is happy.
Thank you
Brian

This isn't so much a new feature, but just another way of connecting websiteforge users. Would it be too tricky to have a page on your site that listed all users by category? If those users wanted they could then put contact information on the page too. Perhaps this would even be a page that we had to login to see. There is another websiteforge customer here in Des Moines (Landmark Luggage) and it was a big benefit just being able to connect with someone else in the industry using the same platform.

I guess within WF it would work but not publicly.

Telemarkerts will use the list start bugging and confusing our customers by trying to sell them both similar and non-similar services. It's hard to figure a safe way to do this.

Maybe give the users a choice to be part of the directory. I'll think more about it.
