Orders vs site visitors.

I would like to see a percentage of new customers who order from our site vs visits. I would like to have the ability to see the customers who return to my site and place an order. I guess that would be return customer tracking and the New vistiors ordering for the first time tracking.

:) Great idea. What if I told you that in the interim, I could write a custom script that would show that in your providesupport.com visitor window?

We just modified the system to allow US to see who is currently logged in and what page your are viewing. So our support chat will already know who you are when asking for help.

It was made possible by an upgrade www.providesupport.com has done. They offer a script that you can pass custom variables to.

Now, I would have to bill you for the integration, but it should be possible to display the currently clicked category AND/OR search term used on your site.

Customer reviews of products.
I would like for the customer to have the ability to write a review of a product on our site and it would stay with that product so others could read the review. It also would be linked in such a way to were it would show up on search engines.

I would like for websiteforge to support the new extended-validation certificate. This is going to make your address bar display a green color and people are being told these sites that have the green bar that the site is safe to make tranactrions on. IE7 will have this feature activated sometime this month. I think it will be very important for our domains to have this certificate.

Brain posted above about customer trying to copy and paste links on pages... we have the same issue that confuses our customers. What I think he is asking is for the URL listed in the brower address bar (for a page within the an ecommerce module) to maintin the address that was clicked to get there.

Example... if I have somoene who visits our Carhartt Page and clicks on the 3904 boot the URL he is going to is clicks on product with SKU , the url would be :
http://www.gandlclothing.com/m5_view_item.html?m5:item=3904
once the page loads, the URL defaults back to: http://www.gandlclothing.com/m5_view_item.html

I understand why this happens with the system as it is... but it makes things confusing for people browsing our site.
