Please give us your new feature ideas!

This post is created to let everyone post new feature ideas and discuss them.  I'm sure we can't do all them instantly.  However we can learn and depending on how many people ask for the same feature we can prioritize them.

In the order list export to .csv, it would be outstanding if we could customize the column headers and add additional columns like product cost to the export file. Like you can in the products/Types field.

Ability to modify product options on orders once the order has been placed.  Any way this could be worked in at some point?

Hey Guys,

Just noticed something that I thought might be of interest.  The "file" list under the link manager doesn't have a manager like the image store does... and after adding many files I have noticed how difficult it is to keep track of all the file names.  It really makes maintenance of the older files I want to remove from the site and save you disk space cumbersome and tedious.  Is there any way you could initiate a file management tool like the image store so that we could parse out files into like folders and then be able to go through and clean house more efficiently?

Let me know...

Thanks,

Brent

Hey Guys,

I posted another feature request about a week ago... haven't seen it here yet for discussion, but I thought I would follow up on another post as well from Justin in July 07'.  His Post:

Not sure if anyone else has seen it yet - but Google just announced they are now selling a search package for websites that is NOT ad supported and starts at $100/year. I previewed it already and it seems like it'd make a great addition to our site. Only problem - it pulls from the meta data when displaying the results. Since the individual product pages in websiteforge don't display unique information for each SKU, all reults look the same. If the SKU, Description, Brand (a custom field we have) were all automatically merged into the title/meta tags for a page (as has been mentioned before) this tool from google would be great."

Any chance that this feature itself, a SITE SPECIFIC search tool that indexes that specific site and only searches the content within that specific WF site, will be integrated into WF?  I would think this would be extremely beneficial and complimentary to general search engines.

Please let me know, thanks!

Why can't we modify the blog postings so the newest responses are listed first?  This thread here is evidence of why this would important -  new responses get burried 10 pages into a thread.

I know there have been recent upgrades to WF but if we (the users)don't know about it, features go unused.  Would it be possible to get a quick post on this blog whenever an upgrade to the system is performed and/or new features are added?

What about the response I posted above - any idea if this is in the works?

Finally, here is another suggestion - add images to the suggested product features on the item detail pages.  This would greatly expand the viability of this as a merchandising tool.

Thanks,

Justin
